Pacific Madrone tree bark (Arbutus menziesii)
Approximately 1oz bag.
Madrone bark can be used in the kitchen as a spice similar to cinnamon. A tea made with the bark has a cinnamon mushroom taste.

Dried Pacific Madrone Bark

Usnea Lichen 1oz bag dried. Also known as Old Man's Beard. This lichen can be made into a tincture and has well known antibiotic properties with specific healing to the lungs.
The dried powder is a great wound dressing to prevent infection.

Western Wild Ginger Bulb (asarum caudatum)
Evergreen perennial spreading groundcover native to the western US. Prefers rich moist soils in shaded location in coniferous forests.
The root is a laxative, used in the treatment of colds, colic, indigestion, and stomach pains.
Can be used sparingly as a spice with flavors similar to ginger and pepper undertones.

Showy Milkweed Seeds (Asclepias speciosa) Unopened green seed pods are edible. (Look up "Milkweed Poppers") The stalks produce strong fibers for cordage and fabric making. Ecological benefits especially for Monarch butterflies. Perennial plant, will die in winter and grow back from root every spring. Seeds spread prolifically from pods if left on plant. Cold stratify seeds recommended.Approximately 25 seeds per pack.

Mixed oyster mushrooms and blue oyster mushrooms dried. 1oz bag. Add to any recipe and allow to cook and rehydrate 20-30 minutes. I keep a jar in the pantry and add to most soup recipes, spaghetti, stir fries, and much more. Stays fresh in air tight container for one year.

Black Hawthorn Seeds (Crataegus douglasii)- native hawthorn with blue-black berries. Seeds may take up to 18 months to germinate. Cold stratification may improve success rate. Seed packs contain 25 seeds.Commonly called Mayflower. Black Hawthorns grow approximately 20-45 Feet tall. They grow along forest edges, in open areas, and along creeks or rivers. They can tolerate dry sites. With deep spreading roots, these are great for restoration areas to hold soil in place and resist erosion. Blooms May-June with fruit from mid July through August. Berries can be eaten fresh or dried.Natives used the 3cm long thorns for fishhooks, rake tines, or small lances. The hardwood can be used for handles of tools or weapons.Create a hedge with Black Hawthorns and watch many birds come in for the berries, wildlife will live under the thicket, and create a impermeable wall where privacy is needed.

Soaproot (Chlorogalum pomeridianum), also called soap lily, is a native wild plant that has many uses. The juice from the bulb can make soap or glue. The hairs around the bulb can make light duty ropes and brushes. The leaves are edible and the bulb is also with special preparation. It has been used extensively by many groups of native Californian peoples since the dawn of time. Flowers after 7 years, beautiful white flowers that open at night and are pollinated by native moth species. Plants sprout readily in the winter and grow somewhat slowly. In the summer they will go dormant (die back) and will not need even a drop of water and they will come back in the winter again.Seed pack comes with 10 seeds.&nbsp;

Chokecherry (Prunus virginiana) seeds ethically wild foraged. Grow your own chokecherry- a native wild cherry tree. Fruit is small, 1/2in red globes that can turn almost dark purple black when fully ripe. Fruit is tart and astringent. Good for making juice or jelly and jam.&nbsp;&nbsp;Seed packs contain 10 seeds. Live Prickly Pear Cactus Pads- fruit is a sunset pink color and tastes sweet somewhere in between kiwis, strawberries, and mangoes. Photo is of the mother plant. Use the pad for planting your own prickly pear cactus that produces food with very little water requirement once established. The pad is also edible food that is frequently used in Mexican cuisine and is called nopales.&nbsp;

Once the order is place, we take the cuttings from the mother tree, package and ship them to you via USPS shipping with tracking number. Once you receive your fresh cuttings, place approximately half the cutting in fresh potting soil cut side down into the soil. It will take approximately 3-6 months to see signs of new growth.

Blood clot powder is made with locally and ethically foraged ingredients including yarrow (Achillea millefolium) and old man's beard lichen (Usnea spp.). Yarrow is known to stop bleeding instantly while old man's beard prevents infections. Blood clot powder pairs well with natural pine pitch which can be applied like a band aid to seal the powder into the wound. For use with cuts and bleeding- simply sprinkle the powder into the wound and seal with a piece of pine pitch.&nbsp;

Dried manzanita berries with seeds and skins which taste like the finest apple flavored sugar. Mix with your oatmeal, baked goods, or make acorn flour cookies with it. Berries dried on the bush locally and ethically foraged. Grind the berries into a powder and sift out the seeds and skins. Use the seeds and skins to make manzanita cider by soaking them in cold water over night. Tastes like a mix between lemonade and apple cider!&nbsp;
