Shipping Policy

Shipping policy

Fresh Mushrooms are highly perishable. UPS next day air is highly recommended for all fresh Mushroom orders, and will be guaranteed fresh if shipped UPS next day air.  Other shipping options may be offered, like UPS next day air saver, but we will not be responsible for spoiled mushrooms if you choose to use these services. There is higher risk in warmer climates. Pease add a note for us if your area is experiencing exceptionally hot weather, so we can add extra ice packs. We cannot ship to a P.O. box. Your work may be a good place to ship your order if you have a P.O. box or fear your package will not be safe until you get home. If something unexpected occurs and you need to change your shipping date, email or call us asap. UPS does not have refrigeration, so we cannot be responsible for perishable items if not delivered on time due to inclement weather. UPS guarantees next day air service, and you may have to contact them with a claim if this occurs. If your package arrives damaged, or lost, or late, we will send a replacement or refund granted UPS honors the claim. Mushrooms can lose up to a tenth of a pound per pound due to drying during shipment. This weight will be regained when cleaned with water. Your mushrooms may be slightly dry to the touch when they arrive, this is normal. When rinsed with water they will regain their freshness. If there is a problem with your fresh mushroom order we need to know within 2 hours of delivery. This way we know they were not sitting out in the heat for a long period of time. They must be refrigerated immediately. If you gave us a valid email address you will receive a tracking number to tell you that your order has shipped. Once shipped, we cannot stop shipment or reroute it to a different address. When you place an order we cannot guarantee it will be filled. We may run out at any time, or Mother Nature can end the season at any time. In this case we will refund your money. We will do our best to honor requested delivery dates. Orders shipped next day air does not always mean you will always get your order the next day. Often there are more orders than mushrooms. Your order will ship overnight as soon as we get to it. If you need them a specific day please leave us a note and we will do our best to get them to you that day. Morels grow outdoors so don't be alarmed if you find some unwanted company hiding in a morel, insects can sometimes hide inside them. Clean, cook, and Enjoy! if you have any concerns please let us know!


Disclaimer

All Mushrooms purchased from Blues Best Mushrooms, or grown from a Blues Best Mushrooms Growing Kit must be cooked thoroughly. Consuming undercooked mushrooms can cause serious illness. Do not eat raw. If trying a mushroom from Blues Best Mushrooms for the first time try a small portion first, then consume slightly larger amounts if there is no adverse reaction. When harvesting Morels from growing kits be absolutely sure it is a morel mushroom before consuming, there may be other mushroom species in the soil where your kit is planted. If unsure on morel identification, contact a morel identification expert before consuming. Our products have not been inspected by the FDA


Refund Policy

UPS next day air is highly recommended for all fresh Mushroom orders, and will be guaranteed fresh if shipped UPS next day air.  Other shipping options may be offered, like UPS next day air saver, but we will not be responsible for spoiled mushrooms if you choose to use these services. If your package arrives damaged, or lost, or late, we will send a replacement or refund as long as UPS honors the claim. If there is a problem with your fresh mushroom order we need to know within 2 hours of delivery. This way we know they were not sitting out in the heat for a long period of time. Spoiled mushrooms reported in this time frame will be replaced, as long as proof is provided (picture or video of bad product). 


Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

We will not accept returns of fresh mushrooms due to there highly perishable nature. We will happily cancel or exchange orders that have not been shipped. Once shipped, they can not be returned or canceled.
