Foraging Tour in Appalachia: Identifying Common Edibles

Come take a walk with me through the woods as I show you how to identify and forage various common wild plants and mushrooms.

We will take a journey to some of my favorite spots in Western NC and I will show you how to find certain species as well as where they like to grow. As well as what to look for when hiking and foraging in the woods.

Safety is the number one priority so please bring water, a snack/food and something to put your foraged goods in to take home if you’d like (a basket works great or a mesh bag – do NOT bring plastic).
