About Morelmasters

Our company began 22 years ago as kids selling fresh morels along the highway for $9 per pound. The first year online we shipped 42 pounds. As the years went on we doubled the orders each year. This year we shipped 4,000 pounds. We are still a family owned business.

Our first few years in business we struggled as we had many shipments go bad. There were a few years we struggled to make ends meet. After sticking it out through the years we managed to get better each year listening to our customers feedback. Even today we are making slight changes to better our service. Getting our customers the freshest morels possible delivered to their door is our main goal.

They don't seem to taste like true blacks hence the name dark. More Blondie type than a proper black morel.

Shipping Policy

Fresh Morels are fragile and highly perishable. We are not responsible for zip codes which are located in P.M. areas. There is a risk in warmer climates. Most zip codes are in A.M. delivery areas which should be delivered between 8:00 - 12:00 using Priority Overnight service. Please check with Fed-Ex to see what delivery area you are in at 1.800.463.3339 (press 0 to go straight to a representative). If the area is a P.M. delivery area, it helps to put a note for us to add extra ice packs during hot weather. In rare cases of severe weather, Fed Ex planes run behind schedule. Fed-Ex cannot ship to a P.O. box. Your work is a great place to have your order shipped to if you have a P.O. box or fear your package unsafe until you can get home. If something unexpected comes up and you have placed an order with us just give us a call or email and we will hold off from shipping. Fed Ex- nor Morelmasters stand behind perishables which spoil due to inclement weather, Fed ex does not have refrigeration for anything, so your items will not be put in cold storage between the time we ship until you refrigerate your mushrooms. We do not refund money for weather delays. We don't get our money back either. If Fed-Ex loses your package or your package is damaged we will send a replacement package or send a refund granted Fed-ex honors the claim. Mushrooms can lose up to a tenth of a pound per pound due to shrinkage during shipment. This weight will be regained when cleaned with water. Your mushrooms will be slightly dry to touch which is normal. When rinsed with water they will regain their freshness. If there is a problem with your fresh or frozen order we need to know within 1 hour after delivery. This way we know they were not sitting out in the heat for a long period of time. They must be refrigerated immediately. If you gave us a valid email address, you will receive a tracking number to tell you that your order has been shipped. Once we ship, we cannot stop the shipment or reroute it to a different address. When you place your order we cannot guarantee it will be filled. We may run out or not like the mushrooms we get in. Mother Nature can end the season at any time. In this case, we will refund your money. We will try our best to honor requested delivery dates.  Even though your order is shipped overnight it does not mean you will get your order the next day. Often there are more orders than mushrooms. Your order will ship overnight when we get to it. If you need them by a certain day please leave us a note when placing the order and we will try our best to get them to you by that day. Morels do come from the woods so don’t be alarmed if you find some unwated company in a morel. It's not often an insect will be found but sometimes they will hide inside the morels. These guys also know what’s good! Clean, cook, and enjoy. Thanks for bearing with me through all of this. We have been shipping fresh morels for 20 years and know how to take care of our customers. Refund Policy

Morelmasters cannot stand behind perishables which spoil due to inclement weather. We do not refund money for weather delays. We don't get reimbursed from Fed-Ex. If your package is delivered 2 days past the commitment time or is damaged we can issue a refund or send a replacement package.
