As explained in our correspondences, these were indeed Fresh Morel mushrooms that the vendor sent. We are sorry for the confusion if you were expecting something different and hope you choose Foraged again in the future!
I feel bad for these other reviews because my experience with Goldenstate Gemstones morels could not have been better. The packaging was excellent and the quality of the morels were even better. My 1lb order was actually 1.3 pounds and I was happy about that. Very nice size on these fresh morel mushrooms. Big aroma and nice texture. 10/10 If you want fresh California morels, order from Foraged and this vendor!
I can't believe the quality of these morels! Insane. The shipment was packaged thoughtfully and effectively - ice pack was still cold was it arrived. The morels were a great size and Goldenstate Gemstones even included extra because I weighed 1.3 pounds. The morels are clearly super fresh given their texture and aroma. A nice mix of coloring among the batch too. I'm surprised to see the two poor reviews... my experience was great. just look at the photos. I will definitely be ordering morels from Goldenstate Gemstones again.
It was the wrong type of mushroom, it was smelly (older) and only 0.8lb
